Partnering up to Meet the Mission

When President and CEO Valerie Rossi founded Azimuth Corporation in 2001, the mission was set in place: to provide unmatched service and products to our national security customers. For over 21 years, Rossi and her ever-expanding team have done just that, ensuring that our warfighters are equipped to complete their missions successfully and safely. Sometimes Azimuth can meet these needs alone – and sometimes a partnership is the best choice to serve our warfighters.

Over the years, numerous partnerships have evolved from this approach – both in academia and industry. Whether as a prime or sub-contractor, Azimuth is focused on meeting customers’ changing needs, and our “get-it-done” management approach, free from the red tape often associated with larger companies, provides the agility and flexibility to implement this strategy, reflecting our commitment to enable each customer’s mission.

Azimuth’s recent win, a $40-million-ceiling Technical Operations VI (TOPS) contract with the USAF Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), is an example of a partnership bringing forth a particularly strong set of collective skills and experiences to meet warfighter needs. This competitive acquisition came to fruition because of the efforts of two exceptional companies: Azimuth as prime contractor and ARCTOS Technology Solutions, LLC as sub-contractor.

Through the contract, Team Azimuth-ARCTOS is providing the AFRL with state-of-the-art research in the core technology areas of functional materials and applications; structural materials and applications; manufacturing and industrial technologies; systems support; and new and emerging technology in materials and manufacturing. Work is being performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and continues to August 2030.

This AFRL support bolsters an ongoing partnership between Azimuth and ARCTOS, two Dayton-based companies committed to ensuring efficient, agile, and innovative research and development to protect and assist our warfighters. “We are excited to collaborate with ARCTOS to further and strengthen AFRL’s work. Our combined technical skills and expertise brought forth a winning proposal and will deliver the best possible value and performance for the contract,” said Rossi.

The TOPS VI win extends Azimuth’s over 21-year relationship with AFRL customers and adds to Azimuth’s significant portfolio of national security support which includes research, development, and lab support; programming and policy expertise; security and threat analysis; operational, program and administrative management assistance; and database and modeling support.
